The Welsh Christmas Portraits

Happy New Year! Wow, 2010! That sounds so futuristic, doesn’t it?
Since the holidays have passed, I think it’s safe to share a couple of the Welsh family’s fun holiday portraits, as promised:
Aren’t they a beautiful family??? And guess what? I get to photograph them again in May! I am busily planning that session already (and really looking forward to the spring weather that it will bring, too!).

The Welsh Family

The Welsh family and I met on a VERY cold saturday morning recently. They braved the cold temps as we all tried to visualize sitting on a warm beach somewhere. Thankfully this family was so easy to photograph that we were able to buzz right through our shoot and still come out with so many beautiful shots that as I go though them in the editing process I just keep finding new favorites! But how could I not with three daughters as photogenic as this:
Stephanie said her and Bryon didn’t have many good pictures of the two of them. I am pretty confident they do now:
You can see where the girls get their good looks from!
There are several fantastic holiday family portraits that I can’t wait to share, but they will have to wait until a later posting so the Welsh family has a chance to get their cards out in the mail. I don’t want to ruin the surprise for their recipients!
Bryon, Stephanie, Sydnee (isn’t that the coolest spelling?!?!), Grace, & Chloe: Thank you for a fun and sometimes silly (think bathrooms are closed for the winter signs) morning! I hope you made it over to Sisters bakery and enjoyed some gooodies and defrosted with hot chocolate & coffee! Wishing you all the merriest of Christmas’s!

From my family to yours!

I am pretty sure that all the Christmas cards that I sent out have been received by now, so I can finally share our family protrait here on my blog for all the see!
Thank you to all of my wonderful clients this year. Thank you for letting me spend time with you, get to know you, and capture photographs that I hope you will love and cherish always. It is my sincere wish that every time you look at those photos you will smile and remember that special time in your lives.

Sweet

When I snapped this picture, I knew immediately that I would love it – and I was right. It is immensely sweet and tender. I can totally see this as a canvas 10×10. Wow.
Little “C’ was very curious. I told her Dora was in the camera, so she leaned in to see

The ‘W’ Family

This lovely family are our close friends and church family. My youngest daughter & their adorable son were born only a few weeks apart and are so cute together. I am so happy with how their photos turned out! Don’t they exude happiness?!?

An amazing family!

Today I had the pleasure of photographing the wonderful Meves family. When Stephanie and I first arranged this session about a month ago and she told me she had twins, I was so excited! Well, I was excited to meet the whole family, but this was my first time photographing twins. They were ADORABLE! Not to be outdone was big brother, Cankuna, who was a complete natural in front of the camera. We shot at lovely Drake Park where the fall colors were in full bloom. Despite the threat of rain, the weather held out for us, whew! Being a mom myself, I’m no stranger to chasing children around, but twins is a whole different ball game. The most important thing I discovered about this fantastic family is how much they love each other, and how well they all work together.
Thank you Meves family for spending the afternoon with me and allowing me to capture your beautiful family!

One of my new favorites!

As a photographer, I think we all have a favorite photo – until the next favorite photo comes along. I always feel an excitement every time I download new pictures and go through them and say, “oh I love that one!” Well, in beautiful meadow at a nearby resort I got this one today. My new favorite – for now
